Rebecca A. Herbert, age 73, of Bushnell, FL went home to be with our Lord and Savior on February 22, 2025.
Rebecca was born March 26, 1951 in Huntington, WV to Ruby F. Williams and Marshall Sauls. She grew up in WV before settling in Florida, where she enjoyed a long career as a nurse. Rebecca was known for her many passions, including art, music, and baking. She loved birdwatching, and gifted so many of her friends and family with custom artwork of birds and flowers. She loved the Lord dearly and loved to attend church services.
She sang in the choir, and even traveled to sing at nursing homes, lifting spirits everywhere she went. Rebecca was also well known for her chicken and dumplings, making sure to send a fresh batch to anyone who needed it. Her compassion, generosity, and kindness will be remembered by all who knew her.
Rebecca was predeceased by her parents. Rebecca is survived by her husband George R. Herbert; brother Eddie E. Wilson Jr.; sister Elaine F. Rogers (Wilson); daughter Susan E. Smith (Herbert); son David R. Herbert; son Patrick R. Herbert; Grandchildren David T. Herbert (David), Evan W. Herbert (David), Logan N. Smith (Susan), and Leah A. Herbert (David).
A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th, 2025, 10:00 a.m. at Wahoo Baptist Church, 4517 CR 319, Bushnell, FL 33513. Arrangements entrusted to Beyers Funeral Home of Bushnell, FL.
