A candidate running in an upcoming special Congressional election is planning an appearance in The Villages.
Josh Weil is running for the District 6 Congressional seat recently vacated by Mike Waltz, who is now serving as President Trump’s National Security Advisor.

Weil, a teacher from Orlando, will be speaking to The Villages Democratic Club which will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 8 at Lake Miona Recreation Center.
Weil is facing Republican Randy Fine in the April 1 election. Fine has been in recent headlines due to his support for a campus carry measure.
District 6 stretches from St. Augustine and Daytona, westward to Ocala and Leesburg.
