Harvey Lee Yawn, 71, of Wildwood, passed away on Feb. 18th in Ocala. Harvey was born in Orlando to Jerry & Joan Yawn on Jan. 27, 1954.
He went to school in Orlando & Apopka. He married Nancy Boyett on June 8, 2016. He worked as a telephone technician for the telephone companies in Florida from Florida Telephone through Century Link for 41 ½ years, for which he received several accommodations for his years or service.
He was also a veteran of the U.S Army. Harvey enjoyed scuba diving, skydiving, hunting, and driving his tractor while working on their property.
Harvey is preceded in death by his parents Jerry and Joan Yawn.
He is survived by wife Nancy, his Father & Mother-in-laws Frank & Libby Boyett, his sister Patty Clark, a brother-in-law Danny Boyett (Donna), 2 nephews Chris Wilkins and Jeremy Boyett (Ashley), a sister Tiffany Clark, 2 great nieces Taylor & River, a great nephew Brantley, an Aunt Essie Yawn, an Aunt Kitty Dupree and 16 cousins.
Funeral services will be held at Hiers Baxley funeral home on Thursday March 6, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Craig Attaway officiating the service. Burial will immediately follow the funeral service at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
