A smoker who tossed a cigarette off the balcony of an apartment building was arrested after igniting a brawl with her boyfriend.
Bobbi Jean Eckert, 34, had been drinking alcoholic beverages with her boyfriend Saturday night at the Sundance Trail apartments in the Beaumont development off County Road 466A when she tossed the cigarette from the balcony of their third floor apartment, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department.
Her boyfriend immediately scolded her.
“We don’t live in a trailer park,” he said.
Apparently enraged, Eckert pushed her boyfriend of eight years into the kitchen table. She struck him in the face with a closed fist and attempted to repeatedly strike him, the report said. He suffered a cut under the right eye.

The commotion grew so loud that people in the parking lot of the apartment complex called 911 out of concern for the couple’s safety.
When police arrived, they found the distraught boyfriend with dried blood near his eye and a damaged television on the living room floor. Eckert had reportedly kicked it over.
“Due to the level of intoxication of both parties, both were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment,” the report added.
After her release from the Trailwinds Emergency Room, Eckert was arrested on a charge of battery and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. She was released after posting $1,000 bond.
