Stephen Douglas Gunn, age 70, passed away on March 14, 2025 in Lady Lake, Fla.
He was born and raised in West Lebanon, NH, the youngest of seven children of Robert Gunn and Frances Bennett Gunn. Steve lived most of his life in the Granite State. In recent years, Steve and his family spent winters in Florida.
Steve attended West Lebanon and Lebanon schools. He served in the US Navy from 1972 to 1975 aboard the U.S.S. Fulton which serviced the Atlantic Fleet submarines.
Steve spent his career as a commercial trucker. When he wasn’t working, he loved spending time with his family on Mascoma and Crystal Lakes.
He worked hard all of his life, was a quiet and kind soul who raised a loving family. Anyone who knew Steve considered him a loyal friend.
Steve leaves behind his loving wife, Mary Anne Jagareski Gunn, his daughter Frances (Franki) Gunn; his sons, Tyler Gunn and Stephen D.Gunn, and his step-daughter Willow Nash. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren: Lincoln, Elloise, and Thatcher Givens and Cailey Gunn; sisters Mary Gunn, Ellen Gunn, and Patricia DeCarli; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Steve was preceded in death by his cherished grandson Kolton Gunn, his parents, and his brothers James Gunn, John Gunn, and Robert Gunn.
There will be a celebration of Steve’s life in NH in the summer. Burial will take place at the NH Veterans Cemetery in Boscowen.
