After she was escorted to the loss prevention officer’s office, she removed the stolen items from her handbag, including clothes, makeup and cans of spray paint. Whitfield said she had planned to resell the cans of spray paint to make money. The merchandise had a value of $169.

Her handbag also contained a glass pipe, a wooden pipe, straws and tinfoil. The straws and tinfoil tested positive for fentanyl.

A criminal history check revealed she had been convicted of theft in 2023 in Marion County.

She was arrested on charges of theft and possession of drug equipment. She was booked at the Marion County Jail on $2,000 bond.
