Sumter County is conducting a study to evaluate alternatives for intersection improvements at County Road 466 and U.S. 301.
The purpose of this study is to improve traffic operations and meet the county’s level of service standards through roadway widening and the addition of travel and turn lanes.

Preliminary alternatives have been developed and evaluated based on construction and right-of-way costs. Cost estimates have been prepared for all proposed improvements.
Public Input Requested
Sumter County invites the community to attend an upcoming public workshop to provide input on the proposed project and alternatives.
The informal open house will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 30 at the Belvedere Public Library in The Villages.
Attendees will have the opportunity to view maps, drawings, and project handouts. Project representatives will be available to discuss the study and answer any questions from the public.
