The Lady Lake Police Department is offering an update on a decomposed body found this past week near a Walmart construction site on County Road 466.

Construction crews found the body this past Thursday lying in tall grass at a construction site that has yet to  be developed at the corner of County Road 466 and County Road 100 (Cherry Lake Road). It is near the site of a new Walmart store.

On Monday, the Lady Lake Police Department offered the following update:

“After an initial investigation conducted by Lady Lake Police detectives in coordination with the Medical Examiner’s Office, there are currently no indications that the death was the result of criminal activity.”

The deceased man has been identified as 34-year-old Anthony Christopher Manfresca.
