Neighbors separated two women in a domestic dispute at a local apartment complex.

Neighbors interceded Saturday night in the altercation between 35-year-old Kelty Marie Schoonmaker and her live-in lady friend at their home at the Parker at East Village Apartments near BJ’s Wholesale, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

Schoonmaker and the other woman had been arguing when the altercation broke out. Schoonmaker, who had admitted she “had drunk a little bit,” shoved the other woman into the “front door and several of the walls,” the report said.

The altercation spilled over outside and was captured on a neighbor’s Ring surveillance camera. When neighbors heard what was happening, they separated the two women.

Schoonmaker was arrested on a charge of battery. She was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center and released after posting $2,000 bond.
