The Villages District Government is ready to lock in a new vending machine contract through 2030.
For many years, the District had relied on a contract between The Villages and Pepsi. But that contract is set to expire and the District had to go out and search for a new vendor.
The District is set to enter into a contract with Paramount Vending Service Corporation, which provides full-service vending machines, stocking and maintenance. The vending machines, located at recreational facilities and pools, are in the process of being changed out. The District has warned residents there could be a void in service during the changeover.
Under the new contract, the District will receive a 21 percent commission from the sales at the vending machines.
The contract will be in effect from Oct. 8, 2025 through Sept. 30, 2030.
