A naked Villager was found screaming near a loading dock at a Lowe’s home improvement store.
Sumter County sheriff’s deputies were called at about 3 a.m. Wednesday to the loading dock area at Lowe’s on U.S. Hwy. 441 in Lady Lake where they found 43-year-old Lisa Powers, who lives on the Historic Side of The Villages.
Powers was complaining about missing money and “frantically” dumping her purse out onto the ground, according to an arrest report. She had disrobed to the point where she was “almost completely naked.” It also appeared she was “not bathing regularly.” She indicated she had not taken her mental health medication. She said she suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Powers was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and a glass pipe with the residue of methamphetamine.
Powers, who was arrested in 2023 after she was found in a carport with a male companion and arrested later that same year in a theft case at Walmart, was taken into custody on charge of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Powers, who is already on probation, was booked without bond at the Sumter County Detention Center.
