A major development is coming to U.S. Hwy. 27/441 and Lake Ella Road in Lady Lake.
The development will take place on 50.9 acres and will include a hotel with 200 rooms, an independent living facility and medical offices, according to plans presented this past week to the Lady Lake Commission.

Previous plans for the development called for a restaurant and condominiums, but those are not included in the new plan. The elimination of the restaurant and condominiums has significantly reduced projected impacts on utilities, schools, and traffic.
The final reading of the development application will be held on Oct. 20 before the Lady Lake Commission.
