St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church plans to construct a 10,108-square-foot outreach ministries building on the west side of U.S. 301 a few blocks north of State Road 44 in Wildwood.

Special Magistrate Lindsay C.T. Holt recommended approval of the project at a meeting Tuesday of the Wildwood Planning and Zoning Board. The City Commission may take action on the recommendation later this month.

A total of 66 parking spaces also is planned for the 3.8-acre site south of Kentucky Avenue.

Phase 2 of the project will be construction of a 10,089-square-foot food pantry building.

The Diocese of Orlando, the property owner, is seeking a waiver to allow a five-foot pavement encroachment into a 25-foot wetland buffer.
