A resident of The Cove Apartments in Lady Lake was arrested for driving with a suspended license and without insurance in The Villages.
A deputy spotted 28-year-old Alyssa Renee Green driving a red Ford SUV westbound on County Road 466 at Feliu Run at around 8 a.m. Saturday, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. Law enforcement databases showed she did not have a valid driver’s license.
Seeing this, the deputy stopped Green near the Haciendas of Mission Hills. She advised that she was “pretty sure” her insurance had lapsed, and indeed it did on Oct. 13. The deputy also checked her license and learned it had been suspended indefinitely two times for unpaid traffic fines, the report said.
An additional look at her criminal history showed she had a prior guilty conviction for driving with a suspended license on June 11 out of Lake County, the report said.
Green was subsequently arrested on charge of driving while license suspended and fail to have motor vehicle liability insurance. She was transported to the Sumter County Detention Center and released after posting $1,150 bond.
