The Villages Public Safety Department delivered a baby at a nearby apartment complex.
A dispatcher received the pregnancy call shortly before 7 a.m. Nov. 13 at the Lake Sumter Apartments on County Road 466 at Cherry Lake Road.
Engine 41, Medic 41 and Medic 40 arrived on the scene where crews delivered a health baby girl.
The mother and baby were transported to a nearby hospital for continuation of post-delivery care and evaluation.
