A woman in Lady Lake was arrested after using a city-owned utility box to spray dogs from the fountain in Heritage Park.
Officers responded to Lady Lake Heritage Park, located at 312 U.S. Hwy. 27/441, regarding 43-year-old Annaruth Elizabeth Harris acting erratically around 3:15 p.m. Sunday, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. The complainant advised that she aggressively came up to him, spoke nonsense and sprayed water at his dogs.

Upon arrival, the officers found Harris in the water fountain on the south side of the park. She immediately got out and walked toward a park bench where all her property was stored. She then yelled over to law enforcement that they were not there for her and became argumentative, the report said.
She proceeded to sit on the bench and talk to one of the officers. He noticed a green garden hose stretched out through the park. It was still on, creating a small flood in the area. It ran into a water connection box near the fountain Harris was in when they got there, the report said.

Harris was asked about the incident involving the dogs, to which she stated she did not like hunting dogs and had to use the hose to protect herself. She did not make much sense during this conversation, saying God was going to attack the officers. She also added that she had to hook up the water to wash her feet, the report said.
The officers subsequently checked where the hose was connected. They found a utility box, which was usually closed, open with the faucet turned on. Due to the large amount of water starting to flood the park, it seemed the hose had been on for some time, the report said.
Additionally, the Town of Lady Lake owned the water connection and supply. A call to the Lady Lake Parks and Recreation Director confirmed no one had permission to use the water box, the report said.
Harris was arrested on charge of utilities service theft (less than $300). She was transported to Lake County Jail and released on her own recognizance. She is responsible for appearing in court on Feb. 3.
