A special election will be held on March 24 to fill the unexpired term of the late John Gourlie for Town Commission, Ward 2.
The term of office will expire in Nov. 2028. The qualifying period to fill it is from Feb. 17 at noon to Feb. 19 at noon.
Any person seeking to qualify as a candidate for this office must meet the minimum qualifications as required by law. Candidates must be registered voters, must have been a resident of the Town of Lady Lake for a minimum of one year prior to qualifying, and must reside within Ward 2 at the time of qualification and throughout the term of office.
