A Belleview woman was arrested for driving with a suspended license after colliding with another vehicle in The Villages.
A deputy responded to a crash near the Saddlebrook Recreation Center around 2:40 p.m. Friday, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. Upon arrival, he met with 29-year-old Isabel Carmen Nadal and asked what happened.
Nadal described how she was driving a red Dodge Grand Caravan on North Buena Vista Boulevard in The Villages when she saw another vehicle stopped at the red light at the intersection with Saddlebrook Lane. To avoid a collision, she turned her wheel to the left. But she still hit the driver’s side rear bumper of the vehicle with her passenger-side rear fender, the report said.
She then stated she did not have her license because it had been suspended for an unpaid ticket, the report said.
Nadal was ultimately arrested for driving while license suspended (habitual offender) and issued a citation for following too closely. She was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center and released after posting $2,500 bond.
She was also sentenced to several days in jail after another crash at Buffalo Ridge Plaza in Sept. 2025.
