A complaint was received on Jan. 20 about overgrown landscaping at the home. Community Standards made numerous attempts to contact by Pizzurro, by phone, email, certified mail and a knock on the door. She has not responded to any of the attempts to communicate with her. She did not appear at Wednesday’s public hearing. It was noted that the garage door has been seen open at the home.

Last month, Pizzurro pleaded no contest in Sumter County Court to charges of resisting arrest and driving while license suspended. She was ordered to pay $846 in fines and court costs. She had been driving a white Honda when she was pulled over for speeding at about 4 p.m. Nov. 14 in the vicinity of Morse Boulevard and Stillwater Trail, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. During a traffic stop, deputies learned that Pizzurro’s license had been suspended several months earlier. Pizzurro became “irate” and demanded that another deputy be called to the scene. When the second deputy arrived, Pizzurro lunged at the deputy who had made the original traffic stop. She was handcuffed and “began shouting multiple profanities.”

She was arrested in 2015 for shoplifting at Walmart at Buffalo Ridge Plaza. She was placed on probation.

In 2011, she was also arrested for shoplifting. In that case, she successfully completed an anti-shoplifting course.

She was ticketed for failure to yield in 2022. She was ticketed in 2022 for 2023 for driving without having her driver’s license with her. She was ticketed in 2023 for careless driving.

She purchased her house in The Villages in 2009.

The CDD 7 board has given Pizzurro seven days to bring her home into compliance.
