Bill J Cain Sr, 83, of Lady Lake, FL was born March 28, 1942 in Tipton, IN and passed away March 14, 2026.

Mr. Cain and his wife Carol lived in Lady Lake for 17 plus years. Mr. Cain was a proud U.S. Navy veteran, served from 1960 to 1990, reaching the rank of Master Chief. After his retirement from the U.S. Navy, he worked for the VA Medical Center in Memphis, TN for 18 plus years.

He was an active member of the Village Church of Christ. He was also an avid supporter of the University of Memphis (TN) sports teams and enjoyed playing golf as often as he could.

Bill will be remembered for his humor, his generous spirit, and the joy he carried with him wherever he went. His legacy lives on in the family he cherished and the friends who adored him. He brought the same discipline and joy he found on the golf course to his life off of it.

Survivors include: his beloved wife of 61 years, Carol M. Cain of The Villages, FL; sons: Billie (Lisa) Cain Jr. of Arkansas and Mike (Pam) Cain of Tennessee; sisters: Ann Reeves of Florida and Rae Kirk of Texas;

grandchildren: Ashten, Brad, Tiffany, Jeremy and James; 4 great grandchildren as well as other loving extended family. He was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 4 sisters.

A visitation will be held in the Chapel of Beyers Funeral Home of Lady Lake on Thursday March 19, 2026 from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery at 1:30 pm. For those who wish to donate in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ministries of the Village Church of Christ
