U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement put a hold on a man from Mexico who was stopped without a license.

A deputy observed 20-year-old Raul Badillo Comunidad speeding in a grey Chevrolet Silverado on County Road 469 in Center Hill at 4 p.m. Wednesday, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. Radar confirmed he was going 71 mph in a 55-mph zone.

Seeing this, the deputy conducted a traffic stop at the intersection with County Road 760. Badillo Comunidad advised that he did not have a license, but he handed over a Mexican passport as identification. A check of his driving history confirmed he had never gotten a driver’s license, the report said.

The native of Mexico was arrested on charge of operate motor vehicle without valid license. He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center where bond was set at $500 and ICE placed a hold on him.
