An 82-year-old snowbird from Pennsylvania has been jailed without bond after violating his probation.
Robert Revelli was booked this past week at the Lake County Jail following his arrest on a Sumter County warrant charging him with a probation violation.
The Philadelphian had been arrested in 2019 after his Cadillac was spotted traveling at 5 miles per hour in the wee hours on Buena Vista Boulevard near the entrance to the Village of Winifred. It appeared he had been drinking. Revelli lost his balance three times during field sobriety exercises and at one point said he was unsure he was capable of completing the exercises “due to his age.” He provided breath samples that registered .125 and .128 blood alcohol content.
He is due for a first appearance in court on April 6.
