Work is set to begin May 11 to renovate the basketball, pickleball and handball courts at the Guava Street Athletic Complex in Lady Lake.

The project will include the transition to six dedicated pickleball courts, replacing the underutilized tennis court. This change reflects current community demand, as pickleball continues to grow in popularity.

The Parks and Recreation team is also working closely with the contractor to enhance the project, including resurfacing the pickleball courts and repainting the basketball and handball courts.

The courts will be closed for approximately 65 days during construction.
