To the Editor:
First, there have been many more than 42 accidents on North Morse Boulevard, including deaths and 100 percent lifelong injuries. My house borders this road, I mean borders my yard. I have been to the Morse meetings as “allowed.” The Villages is taking away all that the Spanish Springs area has had to offer. We have had nothing but construction trucks, workers, building materials, landscaping trucks and equipment since Hacienda Country Club was taken away. Everything at this end is going. Everything. Now the focus is apartments everywhere and housing for intellectually disabled adults. Yes. Spanish Springs. Not the new areas where there ar no Morse Boulevard problems.
Morse Boulevard is THE major connection between U.S. Hwy. 441 and County Road 466. Yes, police presence has helped. But, I must add that most of the Amenity Authority Committee members do not live near or on Morse Boulevard. I’ve looked them up and brought that up to them.
Put up the damn stop signs. Add the speed tables and speed bumps. Kimley-Horn can now retire nicely and everyone who cares about their graphs and charts can concentrate on all the new areas. We all should be fine with this with no additional lining the pockets of those who care so much. This PROBLEM has been a good run for them.
