An elderly man was taken to the hospital after an accidental fall in the parking lot at Costco in The Villages.
The man had been walking with his wife in the parking lot at the store at about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. The wife saw a vehicle moving and she made a noise, which startled her husband. He fell and struck his head on the pavement.
The man was transported by ambulance to UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital.
