A Villager was arrested after attacking his brother in front of their mother.
Todd Michael Conroy, 60, who lives at 1530 E. Schwartz Blvd. on the Historic Side of The Villages was arguing with his 69-year-old brother when Conroy slapped his older brother “multiple times using both of his hands,” at about 6 p.m. Monday, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. The attack was witnessed by the brothers’ mother.
When police arrived at the manufactured home that dates back to 1987, they found the older brother’s cheek was “discolored and slightly bruised.”
In 2022, Conroy was arrested after an altercation on the Historic Side of The Villages. That charge was ultimately dismissed after Conroy was allowed to enter into a pre-trial intervention program.
As a result of Monday’s domestic disturbance, Conroy was arrested on a felony charge of battery on a person over the age of 65. He was booked at the Lake County Jail and released after posting $2,500 bond.
