Democrats are planning to protest during President Trump’s upcoming visit to The Villages.
The president will be appearing at an event Friday afternoon at The Villages Charter School at Middleton.
After the news broke of Trump’s visit to Florida’s Friendliest Hometown, Democrats immediately began planning a demonstration.
“We (the Democratic Club of The Villages, Central Florida Tri-County Indivisible, Sumter County Democrats, and Villagers 4 Democracy) are collaborating to protest what the president and his administration have been doing to our people, to our democracy, and to our national legacy,” said Villager LaRae Donnellan. “We need to show him that not everyone in The Villages loves him.”
