The Trump rally brought out plenty of political star power Friday at The Villages High School at Middleton.
In addition to thousands of Villagers who wanted to see President Trump, there were plenty of politicians who wanted to be seen with the commander in chief.

Dr. Mehmet Oz, the well-known TV personality who now serves as administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services for the Trump administration, was in high demand for selfies when he entered the venue, packing plenty of star power. Dr. Oz was eager to smile and oblige. Later during Trump’s speech, Dr. Oz quietly moved in when a woman suffered a medical issue and helped escort her out of the gymnasium.

Dr. Phil McGraw, known as Dr. Phil on TV, also had a front row seat. He serves on Trump’s Religious Liberty Commission and has recently conducted ride-alongs with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.
Trump poked a little fun at his Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, who also had front row seat.

“Nobody knew who the hell he was, now people are asking him for autographs,” Trump said,
Congressman Byron Donalds, who hopes to be Florida’s next governor, gave a rousing speech prior to Trump taking the stage. Donalds is hoping the Trump endorsement will help propel him to the Governor’s Mansion in Tallahassee.

U.S. Sen. Ashley Moody also praised Trump during an address to the audience.

Others in the audience included:
• Congressman Daniel Webster, who recently announced his retirement.

Congressman Randy Fine, who represents Marion and Lake County, including the Historic Side of The Villages, the Marion County section of The Villages and Stonecrest.
