To the Editor:
I saw the news about the golf cart parade for Trump’s birthday and got excited. Was it because he had three wives and cheated on all three? The last with a porn star he paid $150,000 to keep quiet. Was it because he was the first convicted felon to be president? Maybe it was because he was partnered with the mafia for seven years when he came to Manhattan or maybe because he ran Trump University which scammed students out of $27 million until the New York DA closed it. Or perhaps it was the way he badmouthed John McCain for getting captured? Or perhaps it was his comment about a war hero, Robert Mueller when he died “I’m glad he’s dead , he was an evil person.” Trump’s status as a draft dodger gave him those rights. Or perhaps it’s the Iran war which we love because it raised inflation, gas prices, food prices, fertilizer prices etc. We were told by Trump Irans nuclear program was”obliterated and would take years to rebuild” so there was no urgency to attack Iran. He sends Kushner who is partnered with Saudi Arabia to negotiate peace when it would be in his interest to prolong the war. So I am still trying to come up with a reason to celebrate but can’t find any. Maybe because he is a kind, articulate person , that’s not it. I once said he was the most evil man on earth but I don’t anymore, I just say he is one of God’s only mistakes.
