Joann Marie Schreibel

Lady Lake, Florida….Joann M. Schreibel passed away on Sunday, May 17, with her loving family surrounding her with their love.

Joann was born on May 9th, 1951, so she had just celebrated her 75th birthday. She was the 3rd daughter born to Douglas and Marjorie Bachelder of Mongaup, NY and Belleview Florida. She was married to Thomas Schreibel for 58 years and together they had two children, David (wife Karie) and daughter Lori Surace. Cody and Riley, her two grandsons completed their little family.

Survivors also include, Katherine Lemon, Sandra McCann, Norman Bachelder and Kenneth Bachelder brother, Richard predeceased her.

Jo loved her family and friends and welcomed all into her home. She always had some kind of homemade dessert to share and dog biscuits for her “special visitors”.

In winter, Jo and Tom welcomed their “northern” family to “come on down”. Hours spent together

playing games, riding around daily in her mode of transportation, (a golf cart) and sharing life together laughing and remembering family and friends, and good times.

Jo was “for the birds”. She enjoyed watching them out her big picture window. She loved NASCAR and was Jeff Gordon’s #1 fan. She always had a tablet next to her, and she copied down recipes daily from Facebook, and she actually tried most of them.

Jo was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

Her family said: we held her in our arms for a little while, and we will hold her in our hearts forever.
