By now, most readers of this site have heard about Trump setting up an incredibly unlawful, dishonest “weaponization fund,” funded with close to $1.8 billion of your money, to benefit anyone submitting a claim for being weaponized, like those that beat up and killed law enforcement officers on January 6 in order to take over the Capitol.

This fund arose from Trump’s lawsuit against the IRS for $10 billion for allowing his tax information to be leaked by an IRS contractor (who subsequently went to jail for his misdeeds). The problem was that this lawsuit was filed four years too late. For you non-lawyers (don’t worry, I have been one for 53 years), it is what we call being barred by the statute of limitations. But to Todd Blanche, Trump’s lackey now the acting Attorney General at the DOJ (Department of Justice), being lawful does not matter, so long as his mentor, DJT, directs him what to do. But this deal did not come about until AFTER Trump had Blanche dismiss the lawsuit. There is more fuel added to this fire.
In a supplement to this settlement, Trump told Blanche to prepare and then file an amendment that will forever bar the IRS from auditing him (Trump), his family and his businesses. Of course, this amendment had absolutely nothing to do with Trump’s original lawsuit, and, again, a lawsuit that should have been dismissed based not only on being time barred, but also because what we lawyers and judges know to be no “case or controversy” as Trump was basically suing himself—the defendants were ones in which he was in charge and oversaw. In lay terms, in order to be in any court, there must be at least two parties that are against one another, like a fender-bender automobile accident when the driver of one car sues the driver of another car for damages.
Can anything be done to what Trump orchestrated? Yes. No doubt there will be legal challenges, one having already been filed. But in the end, what Trump had orchestrated through Blanche who wants Trump to nominate him as Attorney General [to replace Floridian, Pam Bondi who Trump fired as AG] sans the word “acting” in front of it, it just shows how Trump enjoys laughing all the way to the bank at the taxpayer’s expense. For this reason, he remains a small, pathetic loser.
