Gloria Marie Keen passed away peacefully on June 7, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

She was affectionately known by many names throughout her life, including Mommy, Momma, Mom, G-Ma, Gran-Gran, and GiGi. No matter what name she answered to, she embraced each role with unwavering love, kindness, and devotion.

Gloria was born on February 27, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois, to B.C. and Edna Kennon.

She met the love of her life, Charles Keen, and together they built a beautiful marriage filled with love, adventure, and devotion. As a military family, they traveled throughout the country, creating treasured memories and lifelong friendships wherever life took them. Together they raised their family and built a legacy rooted in love, faith, strength, and commitment.

Throughout her life, Gloria cherished her family above all else. She found her greatest joy in caring for those she loved and celebrating the accomplishments and milestones of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, acceptance, and unconditional love.

A kind soul with the patience of a saint, Gloria spent much of her working life as a Customer Service Manager for Walmart and other large department stores in Leesburg. Her ever present smile, warm personality and genuine compassion touched countless lives. She never met a stranger and possessed a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcomed, valued, and appreciated.

Gloria will be remembered for her caring heart, positive spirit, unwavering faith, and infectious smile. She truly cared for every person she encountered and had a special way of brightening even the darkest days. Family and friends will forever treasure the words she so often shared as a farewell: “God Bless.” Those simple words reflected the grace, love, and faith that guided her life.

She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Jimmy Keen and his wife, Tonjenia, and Kevin Keen and his wife, Tyra; her daughter-in-law, Cindy Cone; her beloved grandchildren, Abbatha Cone, Stephanie Hynes (and husband Corey), Charlee Fillingame (and husband Robbie), Destinee Keen, Brett Keen, Patrick Guerard, Bradley Keen, Jillian Keen, Homer Dinsmore (and wife Misty), Christian Dinsmore, Sir Charles Dinsmore, Westina Dinsmore, Legacy Keen, and Ilina Keen; her cherished great-grandchildren, Kyleigh, Keirstyn, Joseph, Mackenzie, Jocelyn, Olivia, Avery, Raighlyn, Rylee, Eason, Cynthia, Leira, Matthew, Blessyn, Rosemary, Jose, Henry, and Leonidas; her siblings, James, Jerry, and Connie; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends, including Pat, Shelly, Ken, and Aunt Vennie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, B.C. and Edna Kennon; her beloved husband, Charles Keen; her son, Steven Keen; her brother, Jerome Kennon; and her precious great-grandson, Nathyn.

A memorial service celebrating Gloria’s life will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Beyers Funeral Home & Crematory in Leesburg, Florida. Family and friends are invited to gather from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service to share memories, honor her life, and support one another in love and remembrance.

Though she is no longer with us in body, Gloria’s legacy of love, kindness, faith, and family will continue to live on through the generations she so dearly loved. Her memory will remain forever in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

Following the memorial service, Mr. and Mrs. Fillingame have graciously opened their home for a small reception. Family and friends are warmly invited to gather for light refreshments, fellowship, and remembrance.

The reception will be held at 1960 County Road 243A, Wildwood, FL 34785. This will be a time to share stories, reflect on cherished memories, enjoy one another’s company, and celebrate a life well lived in a relaxed and welcoming setting. All are welcome.
