
Marilyn Fucito, passed away peacefully at an assisted living facility in Monroe Township at the age of 87.
Marilyn was born in Brooklyn, New York, to Charles and Margaret Bross. She married her husband, Bob Fucito, in Brooklyn, where they began their family. In 1977, they moved to Menlo Park Terrace in Woodbridge, New Jersey, where they lived until retirement. In June 2000, they relocated to The Villages, Florida. After the passing of her beloved husband of 42 years in 2002, Marilyn remained in Florida until 2024, when she returned to New Jersey.
Marilyn lived an active and full life. She enjoyed bowling, mahjong, golf, and playing cards and games with friends and family. She was an avid reader, a devoted Facebook fan, and an excellent cook. She especially loved caring for her grandchildren. Known for never mincing words, Marilyn was direct, honest, and deeply loved for her unmistakable spirit.
Marilyn worked as a data processing clerk with Manufacturers Hanover Trust until her retirement in 1993. She later worked with the Red Cross for several years before becoming a full-time grandmother and caretaker to her beloved grandchildren.
Marilyn was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Margaret, and by her loving husband, Bob.
Marilyn is survived by her loving children, Bobby Fucito and his spouse, Isel; Michael Fucito and his former spouse, Dawn; and Carla Fucito-Elphick. She will be sorely missed by her grandchildren, Alexa, Michael Robert and his spouse, DeAja, Deanna, Katie, Robert Jr., and Christopher, as well as her great-grandchildren, Franklin and Hunter.
