Born October 16th, 1941 in Rochester N.Y. He was a graduate of Rochester Business Institute and proudly received his degree from Paul Smiths College, and loved sharing many antics from his college days. He was deeply proud of the long career he built with Burroughs Corporation/ Standard Register, rising through management and helping develop progressive products that made a lasting impact.
Bob’s career brought him and his family to settle across the country and then back again to spend several years in Webster N.Y., enjoying hosting many extended family gatherings. He ultimately fulfilled his dream of relocating himself and his family to Cape Cod, a place he deeply loved and called home for the greater part of his life, before enjoying his retirement in the warm sunshine of The Villages, Fl.
In Florida, he especially enjoyed bringing people together through the groups he led, created and participated in, that fostered connection and companionship within the community, often for those who were otherwise alone. He cherished these connections and friendships.
Great pride and joy were also taken in tracing and sharing his family history, writing about his genealogy, family stories for his children and a Christmas Card Cookbook one year for friends.
He will be fondly remembered for putting together celebrations, cooking, his love of music, the stories he told and the quirky quotes and anecdotes he always seemed to have at any given time.
A celebration of life will be held Wednesday June 17th, 2pm-4pm, at SeaBreeze Recreation Center, 2384 Buena Vista Blvd, The Villages, FL, with a private burial on Cape Cod to follow on a later date.
