To the Editor:

Last June, I received an outrageous water bill. If true, my house would be floating down the road. I complained to no avail.

So, I refused to pay the overage but not my regular bill. Yesterday, I received a mailing from The Villages saying they would cancel my amenities if the difference was not paid.

I have paid the difference now, but it is a rip-off based on a bad meter reading. I know from reading Villages-News.com that the same has happened to many Villagers. Shame, shame on you!
