To the Editor:
I want to remind Democrats who may have forgotten that they are the party that attempted to erase the past. Which party began removing statues and memorials? The statues of Christopher Columbus, Robert E. Lee, Thomas Jefferson, Ulysses S. Grant, Francis Scott Key, and Don Juan de Oñate were vandalized or removed by the woke Democratic Party. Even now, there is still a push by these radical Democrats to remove the monument at Mount Rushmore, rename schools and buildings, and erase the past from books and teachings as if it never happened.
Then, woke Democrats began attacking the food brands that they wanted to erase. Uncle Ben’s, Eskimo Pie, Land O’Lakes, Aunt Jemima, and even Cracker Barrel began changing their names under pressure or based on their own woke ideas.
Now it seems that Democrats are trying to erase the fact they were pushing the woke culture. I remember reading on Politico that the Democratic Party had put out a memo identifying several (approximately 45) words they wanted to stop using, such as woke, triggering, privilege, body shaming, birthing person, and micro-aggression, just to name a few.
If I were a Democrat, I would be ashamed of what the leaders of my party have been pushing. The Democratic Party has gone so far left. The one thing I see them united in is their hatred of President Trump. They hate President Trump so much, they would bring this wonderful country down if they had to.
