To the Editor:
I am writing in reference to the recent article by Kristen Browde, president of the LGBTQ+ Democratic Caucus. Her narrative regarding the court’s ruling and trans rights does not speak for everyone, and I believe this specific push is ultimately harming the broader gay community.
As a member of a same-sex couple, I agree with the recent court rulings regarding biological sex in sports. Many in the gay community, myself included, are weary of the constant, aggressive push surrounding Pride Month and gender ideology. Browde fails to realize that gay people already have established rights, and the Trump administration is not looking to strip them away. Instead, his party is working hard to restore the cultural common sense that was eroded by the previous administration.
We need to protect our youth from the confusing ideologies currently being promoted through the media, politicians, and Pride events. It is time for our courts and culture to prioritize reality over destructive narratives that target vulnerable children.
