A Fruitland Park man was arrested after allegedly exposing himself to an Instacart shopper and asking for photos of her feet at a home improvement store in Lady Lake.
The incident occurred Tuesday morning at the Lowe’s located on U.S. Hwy. 441. According to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office, a woman was completing an Instacart delivery when she was approached by an unknown man, later identified as 20-year-old Landyn William Spearman.

Spearman repeatedly asked the woman for photographs of her feet. After declining his requests, the woman accepted his telephone number in an attempt to end the uncomfortable encounter so she could continue working.
As she walked away, Spearman called out to her. When she turned around, he intentionally exposed himself and made a vulgar proposition. Spearman then followed the woman through the store until she approached a group of customers, which prompted him to flee the area. The victim immediately notified Lowe’s employees and contacted law enforcement.
Deputies used the telephone number Spearman had handed the victim to identify him. In addition, automated records confirmed that Spearman’s 1999 white Ford Expedition was in the Lowe’s parking lot at the time of the offense, corroborating the victim’s account.
Spearman was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of indecent exposure of sexual organs. He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center and released after posting $1,000 bond.
