The Villages threatened to cut off my amenities

To the Editor:

Today’s story about The Villages getting tough on fees is, in my case, misleading!

Last June, I had a bill for thousands of gallons of water—enough to float my house down the street. I refused to pay it. I protested it to no avail.

I received a letter from The Villages threatening to cut off all amenities. I paid the bill under protest. My estimate is that the meters were off.

I’m sure I’m not the only person so affected!
