League of Women Voters to host candidate meet-and-greet in The Villages

The League of Women Voters of The Villages/Tri-County Florida is giving residents a chance to get up close and personal with the politicians vying for their votes this election season.

The organization will host a candidate meet-and-greet from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 18, at the Rohan Recreation Center in The Villages.

The event will feature a variety of candidates appearing on the Sumter County ballot, including those running for the U.S. House of Representatives, the Florida House of Representatives and various local offices.

Attendees will have the opportunity to speak directly with the candidates and gain valuable insights into their respective political platforms.

Organizers stated that the upcoming event is part of the League’s nonpartisan mission to empower voters by providing them with the information needed to make well-informed decisions at the polls.
