The community is invited to strengthen their online safety skills during a free cybersecurity presentation, “Think Before You Click: Internet Browser Security Awareness.”  

The presentation will be led by Howard Davis, the Town of Lady Lake’s IT cybersecurity expert, at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, at the Lady Lake Library, 225 W. Guava St. in Room 219.

As more daily activities move online, internet users face an increasing number of scams and security threats. During this informative session, Davis will provide practical strategies to help attendees browse the web more safely and confidently. 

Topics will include password management; identifying trusted, secure websites before entering personal information; and safe browsing practices to help reduce the risk of phishing scams, malware, identity theft and other online threats. Whether participants use the internet for banking, shopping, social media or everyday communication, the presentation will offer easy-to-understand tips to help protect personal information and improve online security.

The event is free and open to the public. No registration is required.
