A 26-year-old Lady Lake woman was arrested after allegedly attempting to steal more than $1,200 worth of Pokemon cards from a local Walmart.

Paige Summer Swain was taken into custody Thursday afternoon at the Walmart in Summerfield.

According to an arrest affidavit from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, a loss prevention officer observed Swain allegedly place a display box of Pokemon cards on the bottom rack of her shopping cart. She then allegedly concealed 242 individual packs of the trading cards inside blankets she had brought into the store with her.

Swain was stopped as she allegedly attempted to exit the store past all points of sale without paying. The recovered merchandise had a total value of $1,202.74, according to the report.

After being read her Miranda rights, Swain reportedly told a deputy she originally went to the store to purchase formula for her child. When her preferred brand was out of stock, she allegedly decided to steal the cards for personal use.

Swain is no stranger to local law enforcement. She was arrested earlier this year following an alleged theft at another Walmart.

She was booked at the Marion County Jail on a felony charge of grand theft. Bond was set at $2,500.
