Located at 2297 Demarco Drive in the Village of Marsh Bend, the property was sold by Arthur and Virginia Mulligan to William and Susan Hathcock on June 8, according to records filed with the Sumter County Property Appraiser’s Office.

The Mulligans originally acquired the newly constructed home from The Villages Land Company in July 2019 for $723,200.

Constructed in early 2019, the 3,653 square-foot, four-bedroom, three-bathroom residence is situated on a lot featuring a water and preserve view.

According to an online listing, the home offers an open-concept floor plan with high ceilings, crown molding, vinyl plank flooring, and low-E double-pane windows.

The $1.375 million transaction is the latest in a series of high-dollar real estate exchanges across The Villages.

Just days earlier, on June 4, a home in the Village of Bridgeport at Laurel Valley sold for $1.175 million, nearly tripling its original 2011 price of $450,000.

Earlier this year, another luxury home in the Village of Bridgeport at Lake Sumter sold $1.45 million, nearly doubling its 2014 sale price of $800,000.
