Donald H. Reynolds, age 82, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, in the company of his two sons. Born in Coudersport, Pennsylvania, he was the eldest son of the late Donald W. Reynolds and Betty Miller.
Don proudly served a long career at NYSEG, where he met his beloved wife, Cheryl Cooper Reynolds. Following retirement, they enjoyed life together with summers in New York and winters in The Villages, Florida. He was predeceased by Cheryl just last month, as well as his sister Cheryl Ann and brother Bob.
He is survived by his sister, Terri Miller-Walker; his sons, Todd (Carolyn Reynold) and Tim (Ann DiPetta), from first wife Linda Doan; his four grandchildren, Isabelle, Camille, Jack, and Liam; and a loving circle of in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
To find oneself at the end of life surrounded by wonderful, loving people does not happen by accident. This is a testament to a life well lived. Don, you were a loved, respected, and an honorable man; you will be missed.
And so it goes.
A Celebration of Life luncheon will be in Elmira at The Elbow Room on Saturday, August 29, 2026 from 12:00 Noon -3. p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Linda Reynolds Spirit of Nursing Award.
