A Wildwood sex offender is spending the weekend behind bars after being arrested on three registration violations.
Christopher Carroll, 49, was booked without bond Friday at the Sumter County Detention Center.
Carroll was convicted of lewd and lascivious molestation after a 15-year-old girl told law enforcement that he had sex with her in 1999 in Marion and Lake counties. He was also convicted of sex offender registration violations in 2007 and 2011, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
