Two board members have resigned from Community Development District 9 Board of Supervisors.
The resignations were announced Thursday afternoon by CDD 9 Chair Diane Spencer.
Resigning were Seat 4 Supervisor Karen Crews and Seat 5 Supervisor Chris Cyr.
Steve Brown of the Village of Fernandina was recommended as a replacement for Cyr for Seat 5. Brown was unanimously approved by the existing board and was sworn in.
J.R. Rebecky of the Village of Gilchrist was recommended by Crews as a replacement for Seat 4. He was not at Thursday’s CDD 9 meeting.
District Manager Janet Tutt noted that Crews and Cyr had been in landowner-elected seats.
Both will be elected by qualified voters (registered voters) in November.
