A fire that broke out shortly before 1 p.m. Sunday at the entrance to Lakeside Landings appears to have been “electrical in nature.”
Sumter County Fire & EMS received a report of brush fire at approximately 12:50 p.m. in the area of County Road 472 and Regatta Boulevard, according to a spokesman.
Upon arrival, units found fire emitting from the entrance sign to the Lakeside Landings development and some surrounding vegetation. The fire was quickly extinguished by firefighters arriving on the scene
