To the Editor:
First of all, I want to thank the Villages-News.com for their fine, but incomplete, reporting.
Yes, Steve’s Trackside Bar was closed from Friday at 6:30 p.m. on September 7 until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday September 8. Less than 12 hours. The restaurant underwent a thorough cleaning and passed the re-inspection. No customer in our bar has ever complained of the food or conditions in the bar. Well, there was one, but that has been attributed to a disgruntled ex-employee.
The owners have since hired a more well-known pest control company, and our faithful and reliable regulars have been coming to the bar without any concerns for their health. No one showed any concern about the brief closing, and business is back to its usual level. After all, this is Florida.
There are bugs. Since purchasing this business earlier this year, we have strived to make Steve’s Trackside Bar a fun and welcoming place where people can enjoy good music, good food, pool, karaoke, and a pleasant time to relax.
As of this writing, we probably have the cleanest kitchen in Marion County. Please feel free to check it out yourself.
