New restaurant to open at Trailwinds Village next week

A new restaurant will open its doors next week at Trailwinds Village.

Jersey Mike’s, which started the process of building out their storefront months ago, has set an opening date of Wednesday, Jan. 9.

The popular fast-casual sandwich restaurant already boasts one location on the Historic Side of The Villages.

Jersey Mike’s joins the likes of Circle K, Aldi, ABC Liquor, and Lowe’s, which all opened at Trailwinds Village this past year.

In November, Villages-News.com learned that a Wendy’s and Taco Bell would join the development. 

Additionally, a mystery grocery store is planned for the development, with indications suggesting the store may be a Publix. It would be the third Publix in The Villages south of CR 466A, joining those at Lake Deaton and Grand Traverse Plazas.

Two additional stores adjacent to Jersey Mike’s have opened in the last month, including a nail salon.
