Villages restauranteurs open new eatery in shuttered Chefs of Napoli location

A restauranteur family with locations all across The Villages has opened Milano Ristorante, a new Italian-themed restaurant, at the shuttered Chefs of Napoli IV location along State Road 200 in Ocala.

The Suleiman family, which recently took over restaurant operations at Glenview Country Club, has officially opened the doors on the new restaurant and will host a ribbon-cutting celebration at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 14.

Located at 5400 SW College Road, the restaurant formerly housed Chefs of Napoli IV, which was was closed earlier this summer after one of the founders was arrested for his alleged involvement in a human trafficking operation.

The addition of Milano Ristorante makes for an impressive slate of Suleiman-owned restaurants across The Villages and Ocala, including Johnny Rockets and Red Sauce at Lake Sumter Landing.

The family is no stranger to opening new locations, having steadily grown their local restaurant holdings in recent years . In 2016, the Suleimans opened Amerikanos Grille in the location formerly housed by Athens NY Restaurant in Spanish Springs. In 2017, the family took over operations of Havana Country Club, and in 2018, the Suleimans took over control of Nancy Lopez Country Club.
Milano Ristorante will run a variety of promotions during their three-day grand opening event, including happy hour specials and a chance to win free food for a year. According to an announcement from the company, all the profits from the grand opening weekend will be donated to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. The restaurant will also match donations up to $1,000.
